It was Pure+Applied’s privilege to design the exhibition for the NYPL's new Visitor Center. The Visitor Center offers visitors analog and digital resources, providing visual, tactile, trilingual, braille, and aural opportunities.

P+A’s work was powered by our longstanding commitment to welcoming diverse audiences into the Schwarzman Building’s awe-inspiring spaces. It was deeply informed by our studio’s decade-plus history of designing NYPL exhibitions and experiences and by our spirited and enriching collaboration with NYPL, Mecanoo, and Beyer Blinder Belle.

“We want everyone to feel like they own the collections and everything the library has to offer and feel welcome,” said Anthony W. Marx, the president of the New York Public Library, which is the nation’s largest library system with 88 branches and four research centers. —The New York Times
